Choosing a Christmas tree

I think we picked the the coldest weekend in December to get our tree. We had a great time and finally found our tree. It was so cold that Louie(one of our dogs )decided he would rather wait in the car. After we picked the tree we warmed up with some hot chocolate and cider. It was a nice day.

It's a boy!!!

I am a little late in posting this so here are some pics of our little one still cooking, and yes it is another boy. We are so blessed he looks very healthy and happy. He is also very active I should have known it would be a boy just by that alone. We had the ultra sound at the beginning of this month and we can't wait until April comes so we can meet little Charlie. So the final score for me is Boys 3 Girls 0 lol!!!!!

Thanksgiving at the cabin

This year we went to the cabin for Thanksgiving with Rob's parents and his grandma. We had a great time. There was about six inches of snow and it was beautiful. The boys were so excited to get to play in the snow. We woke up to it snowing on Thanksgiving morning and the boys were thrilled. They put on their boots over their footy pjs and ran out on the deck to catch snowflakes on their tongues. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Fall

We have had a great fall. My pregnancy is going well. We have been busy with soccer, school, and other activities. Connor is doing well in soccer and really enjoys it, I am getting a little tired of driving back into town for practice two day a week, but that is the life of a mom. I really enjoy watching him play, it make me miss playing. We did our annual visits to Bishop's pumpkin patch, but October seemed to go too fast and we did not make it there as often as we usually do. Connor is doing 4-H this year, he is in the beginning 4-h class and the pygmy goat project, we need to get our goat soon. It also means we will be at fair for a week in July. I am the horse group leader this year, it is going to be my learning year but will be lots of fun. I am sad that in this group they don't go to shows, so it will be more learning and field trips.

YAY we are expecting!!!!

Soon after we got the puppy I started feeling really tired and figured it was just from getting up with the puppy. Well that was not the case, as I found out a few days later I was pregnant. This is such a wonderful blessing. Some people may not know, but we have been trying for about two years now. This summer we decided to stop the fertility medicine as that had not been working. We decided to just relax this summer and try not to think about it then we would reevaluate in the fall. Well it worked and we are expecting another new addition in the spring. We feel truly blessed!!!!

Jr Rodeo and a new addition

I am a little behind in my postings. In the middle of August the boys did the pee wee events in the Oakdale Jr Rodeo. They had a great time and after their events we went to get them snow cones, and well the snow cone lady had a litter of the cutest puppies and we came home with one. Luckily it was around our anniversary and Rob had asked me what I wanted well ...it took some convincing but we came home with the puppy. The boys named him.... Indiana Jones we call him Indy for short, kids come up with the funniest names I wanted to name him Merl but I lost. He is now 10 weeks old and I am thinking we should have named him Taz, he is a good puppy but full of energy, I guess as most puppies are.

packing out

Every year for the past thirty years Rob's uncle has been doing pack trips into Big Springs (near Lake Tahoe) and for the past few years I have wanted to go but have not been able to. This year I finally got to go and it was well worth it. I saw some beautiful country. It is a six mile ride into the Tahoe national forest, and it was a beautiful ride. We took fourteen head of stock nice riding animals and five pack animals. The ride in was nice and cool and it had rained the day before so the trail was not dusty. I realized the first night I should have bought a warmer sleeping bag, I froze. The next night I put a manny tarp on top of me and I was warmer. The forest service had suspented all fires other that developed campsites, so we went without a fire. It made for some cold nights.

We got our drinking water from a spring. It was ice cold and some of the best water I have tasted. It is also where we iced down our beer. There was also a creek near the campsite, Whiskey Creek. That is where we did our fishing and bathing. It was coooooold. The water gave me the worst headache when I was washing my hair, I don't think I have ever taken a bath so fast. It was a wonderful four days I can't wait to go back next year.
