Lions, Tigers, and BEARS oh my

Friday night we were visited by some hungry bears. While I was upstairs sleeping off the oh so nice pain shot I was given at the hospital earlier that day(I wish I could have taken some of that home, I don't know what it was but it made me so happy and sleepy) , a mama and her two cubs wandered onto the deck of the cabin, grabbed Uncle Phil and Aunt Bev's ice chest ,sat back against the hot tub ,and helped themselves to some mini weenies, raw croissant rolls, cheese, and BBQ sauce. I guess they just wanted some appetizers, hmmm i wonder where they went for dinner. Needless to say after that we were a little leary of going back into the hot tub at night. I was diasappointed that I had missed all the action.

Thanksgiving in Tahoe

We spent our thanksgiving in Tahoe with family. We had a great time. My mom made a project with the boys (the oreo cookie turkey in the last picture) they had so much fun making them. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious, THANKS DAD AND MOM great turkey, my mom's stuffing and greenbeen casserole. Friday Aunt Mary, Uncle Phil and Aunt Bev arrived , for me it was an eventfull day spent in the ER with severe stomach pains the Dr. thought maybe was an appendicitis but, after a cat scan and sitting around for a few more the Dr's still were not sure so they sent me home, I was supposed to go back for another cat scan today but who wants to waste vacation in the hospital. Oh well, I woke up Saturday feeling weak but better. That afternoon we all took a gondola ride to the top of Heavenly, it was a beautiful view. There was no snow at the cabin,but at Heavenly they were making snow ,so the boys got to play in the snow finally. They had a great time and did't want to go back down the mountain. I am glad I din't miss it.

Rob's 2008 Hunting trip to Colorado

Rob, his uncle, and cousins just got back from thier Elk hunting trip to colorado. This year they rode in so Rob had to brush up on his riding skills. He was a little sore but did really well. He is still not interested in being a cowboy or letting me buy him a horse. He had a good time but didn't get anything. Oh well maybe next year. Now if I can just take off somewhere for a week with no kids.

Harvest 2008

I am a little late in posting some pictures of Harvest. The boys love to ride on the combines every year so I try to get a picture of them with Bob every year.

I was looking at old pictures and I came across this picture of the boys from last year. I can't believe how much they have grown. Connor was Peter Pan and Chance was an astronaut.

Happy Halloween

For Halloween we got all the cousins and neighborhood kids together and did a hay ride for trick or treating. Afterward we had a Halloween party in Rob's dad's shop for the kids. They had so much fun it was a great night. We hope to do it again next year it would be a great tradition to start. Connor was Annikin Skywalker and Chance was The Flash.
