Christmas

WE are finally recoved form Christmas we had a wonderful Christmas. We were spoiled and had four Christmases with all the family. It started the Sunday before Christmas we had Christmas with Rob's grandpa Rich and Grandma Ethel and all the family. Grandma and Grandpa said no presets for them, so the great grand kids put on a play as their gift. Connor was the innkeeper, my niece and nephew were Mary and Joseph, and Chance was a wise man it was really cute and they really enjoyed it. Tuesday was the Van Dyke side Christmas. We had king crab and fondue for dinner it was better that eating at a restaurant. Why is food so much better when other people fix it? Christmas eve was spent with Rob's parents and his sister and her family it was very nice and the cousins got to play. Christmas day we drove down to my parents house and spent time with them and my moms side of the family. It has been a whirlwind of Christmases but we feel very blessed and thankful to have such great family around us.

Christmas Play for Chance's pre-school

Last Thursday Chance had his Christmas play for his pre-school. Their class sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It was very cute they all wore atlers and had blinking red noses. He did and great job. He was so excited that this year he got to get up and sing instead of watching his brother do it.

Cutting our Christmas tree

This past weekend we finally went and got our christmas tree. We met my parents and my sister there and then went to luch. The boys had a great time running through the "forest" and we found and great tree. Connor got to try his hand at sawing the tree, he thought that was great. I am so excited to finally have a tree and it looks beautiful.

Girls trip to Las Vegas

The weekend before last was my girls trip to Las Vegas. I went with Rob's cousin and a friend,we had s0 much fun. We went to a small concert on Thursday night the night we flew in and ended up not getting to bed until 5 am. On Friday we went to the NFR( national finals rodeo) it was a lot of fun and I got to see my cousin Michelle( thanks for the tickets Michelle) we hung out for a short while at the Jack Daniels bar. Wish we could have went out to the South point casino and hung out but i am too cheap to pay for a $60 round trip cab ride. Saturday night was the night we hung out on the strip and walked around some of the casino's since Brandi had never been to Vegas we wanted her to see some of the Casinos on the strip since we stay at the south end away from some of the newer casinos. We went to Harrah's and had a beer at the bar owned by Toby Keith "I love this Bar" it was a neat place. During the day on Friday and Saturday we shopped all day at Cowboy Christmas, my heaven. It is located at three areas in Vegas on was at the Convention center, the other at the Sands, and one more at Mandalay bay. It is tons and tons of vendors selling all kins of cowboy things and even some non cowboy stuff from tack, to furniture, jewelry, clothing, art, horse trailers, even theses things called sugar gliders that remind me of a flying chipmunk, leave it to me to find the one booth selling an animal of some sorts.
